If I have a full-time job, can I still volunteer?
Yes! Many JLF volunteers hold full-time jobs or run their own business all while volunteering. The JLF has volunteer activities available in the evenings and on weekends as well as projects that take place during the day to accommodate today's varied schedules.
What organizations benefit from your volunteers?
JLF projects are focused on benefiting women and children in our community. These programs maximize the impact JLF volunteers have on improving the lives of people in Genesee County.
How does my support of the Junior League benefit the community?
Each year the League offers their assistance to a diverse group of organizations who have a similar commitment in giving to our community. When a dollar is donated to the Junior League, it is made stronger with the addition of our trained volunteers and the hours they donate to provide meaningful impact to our community.
Why should I volunteer with the JLF versus other organizations?
Our member volunteers talk of the impact they have and the feelings that impact sparks to help people in need within our community especially their ability to “give back” in a structured, organized environment. Volunteers also benefit from training in a variety of educational and leadership programs.
